Title: On why you need anthropologists
Abstract: I normally present my collaborative work with development psychologists to sceptical anthropologists. In such cases, I have to convince them that psychology matters. In this talk, I will draw on my work in Madagascar to make the opposite if complementary point: that anthropology matters to the study of human psychology.
