Born in 1945, Csaba Pléh has a degree in psychology and in linguistics as well. I am a full member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences since 2004 (corresponding from 1998).  My long time research interests are or were

 

  • Hungarian psycholinguistics
  • history of psychology
  • cognitive science, relationships between language and cognition
  • developmental disorders.

 

Beside  being on the editorial board of several journals, I was  Editor in chief of   Hungarian Review of Psychology (1997-2015). Between 1998 and 2001 I was  president of the Hungarian Philosophical Association. I have been a fellow  to Collegium Budapest, the Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences, Stanford, and Collegium de Lyon.  In 1991-1992 and in 2004/05 I was the  György Ránki Hungarian chair, at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.  I have published a dozen books  and over 500 articles.
